I have been wanting to upgrade the nasty brass boob lights in my kitchen and my hallway since the day I moved in. However, I don’t usually change out lights until I redo the room. It is an unwritten Infarrantly Creative rule. So I waited for 2 1/2 years until I finished the kitchen to upgrade them. Don’t worry, eventually, the brass boobs weren’t even noticeable to me. HA! Today though, there are these gorgeous X hanging pendant lights that I made for less than $20 each.
Total overall size: 12″ tall by 10″ wide by 10″ deep.

I fell in love with a few wooden X hanging pendants I found on different sites online. I almost purchased the one from World Market but it was bigger than what I wanted and a little two rectangular for the space. I knew I could make it for a fraction of the price. And yes indeed I made it for just the cost of the pendant kit which was right around $20. But these were the inspiration…

Don’t be afraid of the X’s. They really are pretty easy once you get the hang of them.
I used Minwax Weathered Oak followed by Minwax Classic Gray. It love the brown and wood tones combined.
I purchased a hanging pendant light kit at Lowes but it is cheaper on Amazon.
