Psalm 23

These are pictures from Ana Ruby Falls. It is about a half of a mile hike and at the top there are these two waterfalls. However all along the way there is a river flowing that is awesome. There were signs everywhere warning us of pending snakes…but we never saw any.

There was also these hemlock trees that actually grew on top of rocks but the roots wrapped around them into the ground. They were wild looking.

Two diferent rivers flow into two diferent waterfalls and then flow down to form one creek.

In our life group (a group of 6 couples that meet every other week to strengthen our faith and our marriages) we are doing Les & Leslie Parrott’s marriage study called, “I Love Your More.” On Week 5 we talked about having spiritual experiences together as a couple. One of our goals this week was to create a significant spiritual experience together. It is easier to have my time with God without Tim because we experience God differently. I definitely experience God through being in a small accountability group and bible study and Tim loves experiencing God through nature and deep meditation. Well we decided that when we were on our getaway we would meditate on Psalm 23 and then share our thoughts with each other while we were in nature. So we hiked up to the falls and took in the breathtaking scenery. We found a spot to sit and spent like 20 minutes reading and praying through Psalm 23. It was pretty cool to share what we learned, which was completely different from one another. It was a great way to wrap up our weekend.

And for your listening pleasure a little nature noise…
