Do you have a Kirkland’s near you? We actually got one a couple of years back in our town and I am amazed at their great prices on home décor items. I got the opportunity to partner with them on a Room Resolution. I have done a few posts on the changes I am making to my downstairs color scheme. With a fresh coat of light gray on the walls, painted striped curtains, chalk painted sofa table, and new-to-me yellow ombre lamps I am well on my way to creating a space I love.

So I went to my local Kirkland’s to help decorate this space on the main wall in my family room. Here is the sad state it was in. I still hadn’t removed the last bit of red out of the room because I still needed the light of the lamp in the spot. I also was desperate to get rid of the table as well. I knew I needed to add height and light to the space and also wanted a pretty piece of art of tie all the colors of the room together.
So I chose:
Antigue Green Desk Clock – $24.99
Turquoise Hadley Floor Lamp – $59.99
Blue Diamond Burst Pillows – $14.39 each
Yellow and Gray Floral Art Print – $79.99
Kirkland’s already has great prices but they also have this new “Spin to Win” app where you are eligible for discounts up to 30% off your total. Note that the coupons are good in-store only.
So on my first “spin” I got 10% off my total purchase. The next day I got a $15 off a $50 purchase and off I went to to purchase the above items.
I explained to the manager my color scheme and she immediately told me about this yellow and gray floral art print that somebody had returned. It was beautiful and tied the pops of yellow around the room in completely. The only thing I thought it needed was a gray/silver frame. The cream frame with the cream mat didn’t allow for the art piece to pop. Simple change. I used some Pittsburgh Gray CeCe Caldwell Chalk Paint, Pewter Rub ‘N Buff, and a quick coat of the clear CeCe Caldwell wax and it was just what it needed.
The lamp not only added some height but also gave me the necessary light in that corner. Perfect!
The little clock on the top of my grandma’s secretary desk is functional and filled in the empty corner.
Then the Blue Diamond Burst Pillows anchored the turquoise elements in the room.
Now I still would like to get a small accent table in between the chairs but I didn’t find the perfect one yet so I will have to keep looking.
So who wants to join me in a Room Resolution? Well let’s start with one lucky winner of a $100 gift card.
