Did you know June and August are the most popular months for weddings? I was an August bride myself, almost 17 years ago. Nowadays, at least in the Midwest where I live, cash is the common gift for a married couple. Why not jazz up your gift by making a custom foiled print of the couple’s wedding date? If you have the Minc machine this will take you less than 30 minutes to make.

If you don’t own a laser printer then save your design to a flash drive and bring it to a local print shop and have them print it for you. Next cut it down to an 8” x 10.”
Lay your print inside your transfer folder word side up. Then cut out some gold foil to place on top of your print (shiny side up). Close transfer folder.
Press all the wrinkles out and send it through a Minc machine at the correct setting (see manual).
Once through the machine, peel back the foil to reveal a beautiful and custom memoir of the happy couple’s anniversary date.
Pop it in a frame and wrap it up with a card.
You could also use silver foil for a gift for a couple’s 25th wedding anniversary. And apparently the 35th wedding anniversary gift is coral. There is a coral foil for that too.
The Minc Machine is really simple to use and a great way to create custom printables, cards, banners, etc.
Here is the colored foil calendar I made last month. I have more fun projects to showcase with this gem of a machine in the months to come!
