I know…I know that summer isn’t really over, and that we have quite a bit of time to prepare for autumn. But–and you have to admit this right along with me– there is something about sending kids off to school that makes me want to pull out all the fall decor. I’d like to update some of my decorations this year. Especially my Halloween decor. That’s why this picture of a not-too-spooky vignette by Carina Gardner caught my eye.
I love that this vignette was created on a piano, not a mantle. Not every home has a fireplace, so it’s good to be reminded of other options in the home that serve well as backgrounds for decorating vignettes. The white piano is awesome. Don’t you think the banner going across the front of the piano looks amazing?
I’m excited to share five tutorials that I found for items that are similar to the ones pictured in my inspiration photo. Follow them to get this look for a low cost.
One of the delightful things about the banner in my inspiration photo is that is so layered. Check out the tutorial (and free download) for a similar banner at The Project Girl.
